Microsoft Is Removing Xbox One DRM
Citing multiple sources, GiantBomb says Microsoft has decided to remove a laundry list of Xbox One restrictions that customers considered negative:
- No more always online requirement
- The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours
- All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
- Authentication is no longer necessary
- An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
- All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline
- No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs
- Region locks have been dropped

In 2011, WHY? embarked on their latest studio effort, “Mumps, etc.” The drama that ensued is a story worth telling.
For the past three years, a small team has been following Yoni Wolf and WHY? as they moved away from California for the first time in 10 years and embarked on their first new album in 3. Since they began, WHY? has written, recorded and released Mumps, Etc., and toured extensively. The result (so far) is hundreds of hours of footage and the beginnings of a fascinating story.
